Our Story

Our story starts over 10+years ago when Brandy reached out to Dominic about starting a tower farm. He politely said no. A few years passed and it was laid on her heart again. This time she said, "What if I partnered with you and Sandi Hillermann-McDonald?" He agreed!  At the time, we were going to grow and feed the kids of local schools. The planning started. Our towers arrived days before the Pandemic of 2020 hit. We set up our 13 towers in a local nursery greenhouse.  Mind you school are closed at this point, so our plan shifted. We started giving our lettuce away on harvest day. We asked if we could tag them on our facebook page to grow an audience and for comments.

Due to reasons out of our control, we moved the towers out of the nursery greenhouse in the fall of 2020. We converted our 2 car garage into our growing space. With the move we increased to 17 towers. We then started asking a few friends and aquaintances to commit to 10oz of lettuce for a month. We priced out lettuce by comparing our lettuce to a local grocery store's organic lettuce. People were loving it and our subscrition program grew by leaps and bounds. We increased our towers to 24, then to 36. Along with some fancy commercial growing lights by  SprectraGrow.

Imagine a 25x25 square foot garage (625 sq ft) housing 36 tower gardens along with sheves of seedlings. We had 20 inch asiles. We had maxed out our space!

In the fall of 2022 we aquired a warehouse space and converted it to our new grow space. We added shutters, fans and a fresh coat of paint. We moved our 36 towers in June of 2023. We have since increased growing to 51 towers. When at capacity we will have about 96-100 towers.

Our lettuce can be found at 3 different restaurants, 4 different markets, over the summer we attend 2 farmers markets and we offer a text option to pickup our lettuce.

We also love giving back to our community. For the past few years we have donated the lettuce to the Downtown Washington Farm to Table in the fall.

We absolutely love what we do and love growing our fresh, healthy greens for our community.
